Funky Fish Resort is a lively beachfront property on Malolo Island, the largest island of the Mamanuca Group. Built upon a hillside, the main restaurant and bar offers lovely views of the beach and bungalows below. There's a picturesque beach although the lagoon is too shallow for swimming - at low tide you can wade into the lagoon ankle deep for over 300 metres - but a swimming pool makes up for this. Altogether, this is a fun resort with clean but basic accommodation and makes a pleasant base for exploring the island and surrounding reefs.
